Heritage and inspiration
The Tomoe Gozen katana pays homage to one of the greatest heroines of feudal Japan, a symbol of bravery and discipline. More than just a sword, it embodies the strength and timeless elegance of samurai warriors .
Forged with care
Its blade is made of folded carbon steel (880 layers), offering a natural grain reminiscent of damask patterns. This traditional method guarantees each piece a unique and authentic appearance . The presence of a bohi (fuller) makes the blade light and easy to handle, ideal for training and cutting.
Frame and finishes
The white lacquered wooden saya (scabbard), decorated with blue floral motifs, gives the sword a luxurious and rare aesthetic. The wooden tsuka (handle), covered in imitation leather and braided with black polyester cord, ensures a comfortable and secure grip . The fittings—a black chiseled tsuba, a gold habaki, and a zinc alloy fuchi and kashira—add a touch of martial elegance.
Use and added value
Sharpened upon request, the blade can be used for tameshigiri (cutting on tatami mats and rice straw) or kept as a decorative collector's katana . Each piece comes with a protective bag and careful packaging.
