The Essence of Shirasaya: When Sobriety Becomes Power

The shirasaya (白鞘 — "white scabbard") never lies. Born from the tradition of samurai who kept their most precious blades free from ornamentation, this unadorned scabbard reveals the true soul of the katana. Seijaku no Ken perpetuates this heritage: no ostentatious tsuba, no decorative braiding — only fine wood against pure steel.

In the dojo as in the collector's alcove, this katana commands respect through its silent presence. The clean lines of the shirasaya are not a sign of renunciation: they are an affirmation that true strength needs no embellishment. Each grain of the rosewood tells a story; each reflection on the blade captures the moment before the perfect movement.

Forging & manufacturing

Forged from high-carbon 1060 steel , the blade offers an excellent balance between resilience and cutting power. Careful polishing reveals a hamon (visual pattern) that catches the light. Balanced geometry ( 71 cm nagasa) ensures a smooth grip, suitable for dojo training as well as controlled cutting of rice straw and bamboo .
