🐉 Origin and Spirit

The Kannon Ryū draws its inspiration from Japanese mythology , where the goddess Kannon watches over warriors and symbolizes divine compassion . Its engraved tsuba depicts Kannon accompanied by a dragon , a union of spiritual serenity and celestial power.
This mythological Japanese katana embodies the philosophy of Bushido : true strength comes from self-control and benevolence.

Forging and Manufacturing

Hand-forged from 1045 clay -tempered steel, the Kannon Ryū blade reveals an authentic wavy hamon , the result of a traditional Japanese selective tempering .
This process gives the cutting edge superior hardness , while maintaining the flexibility of the back of the blade , guaranteeing a perfect balance for cutting rice straw and bamboo .
Each handcrafted blade is hand-polished to a mirror-like shine, highlighting the true temper line and the purity of the edge.

Frame and Details

The Kannon Ryū koshirae is distinguished by a red lacquered saya speckled with gold , adorned with a hand-braided brown and yellow sageo .
The hardwood tsuka (handle) is covered with genuine samegawa (ray skin) and wrapped in brown ito, providing an excellent grip.
The engraved brass tsuba , depicting Kannon and a dragon , illustrates the fusion between spiritual aesthetics and warrior strength .
